From the assembly line to the digital divide, we will examine the history and effect of industrialization. Literary selections to highlight this theme include excepts from The World is Flat, The Jungle, How the Other Half Lives, and a variety of short readings. We will begin to polish our reading, writing, speaking, and research skills through a variety of different activities including the industrial revolution museum. Below are the important materials we will use during this unit.
