Humanities explores four themes, one per quarter, that address the concept of power. During third quarter we focus on conflict and the struggle for power. From slavery to globalization today, students will examine the causes, history, and effects of conflict. Literary selections to highlight these themes include To Be A Slave, The Forty Third War and Animal Farm. Students will continue to polish their writing skills through the study of punctuation, sentence structure, sentence combining, and research writing. It’s a full quarter packed with skills, new ideas and paradigm shifts, so hang on to your keyboards and away we go! Below are the links to the materials we will use this quarter.
